has started her career as an elocutionist as well as an announcer of
Doordarshan Kolkata.
Nowadays she is the most famous name in her area for few extraordinary
presentations.
The most important factor, Sutapa is the first performer ever, who has
introduced MUSIC & LIGHT in recitation, it was in the year 1992.
Number of appreciations came from different medias.
Once she has been offered ACTING in cinema & serials, but refused for
recitation only.
Her performance has been appreciated by several medias like Ananda Bazar
Patrika, The Telegraph, The Statesman, Sananda,
Aajkal, Sambad Pratidin, Times Of India, Hindusthan Times
and many more.
Her television show GAAN AAMAR PRAAN with Usha Uthup for the
channel AAKASH BANGLA under the Direction & Production of Probal
Mullick is a mega hit musical show ever on any television channel.
KOBIKATHA is another television programme of Probal Mullick on
which she has done a great Title recitation of Rabindranath Tagore is
being appreciated highly by the mass.
One of her excellent creation CHETONA is an audio presentation of
recitation with world famous music maestro Pt. Tarun Bhattacharya
(SANTOOR) is a mile-stone of elocution. It’s a compilation different moods of
Tagore’s creation.
She is the most popular elocutionist with whom SAREGAMA INDIA, the
Pioneer of the audio industry has done so many ventures.
CHETONAE ROBI is one of them in which she has been cooperated with their
performance of Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya, Mohan Singh & Probal
Mullick.
She has done so many excellent scripting for audio productions as well as
stage shows.
“SEDIN DUJONE”, a very popular VCD released from SAREGAMA INDIA.
Shravani Sen, the noted Rabindrasangeet singer and Sutapa herself
performed together for project with modern poetry recitations and Tagore’s
songs.
“ROBIBAR” is an unique creation of Rabindranath Tagore. The
central character of ROBIBAR, "BIVA" has been done by Sutapa in a
completely different passionate way. She has been accompanied vocally by
Biplab Chatterjee (the noted actor), Suvaprasanna (the noted painter)
and Probal Mullick.
“SARATADIN”, a very popular television programme based on the daily life
of the whose of the society. JYOTI BASU, SUBHAS CHAKRABARTY,
SUBRATA MUKHERJEE, SABYASACHI CHAKRABARTY all the famous person has
been interviewed by Sutapa with her exclusive style & culture, it was so
popular.
Sutapa can perform on stage without break 3/4 hrs from her memory only.
So many television programmes is being anchored by Sutapa are very popular like
CHETONA (dramatisation of different poems) in 1996, SURSANGEET in
1997, GEETSANGEET in 1998 and many more.
Sutapa’s first album was “AAMI AASCHI” released in the year 1994 with
some popular modern poem those speak about human being.
Not only in Kolkata, Sutapa is an well-known elocutionist all over India
as well as in England.
During the festival Durga Puja, she is performing in Delhi,
Mumbai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Bhubaneswar, Siliguri
from last few years with the huge appreciation of mass.
In the year 2009, during Puja she is visiting Hyderabad, Mumbai &
Delhi as an elocutionist.
She is now very very popular in London, U.K. as she was an artist
of BILAAT BANGLA SAMAROHA, 2009 held in Bharatiya Vidya Bhaban
auditorium, London on April, 2009.
